Indonesian Waste Platform
APEX Environmental is a Partner Organisation and Co-Founding Sponsor of the Indonesian Waste Platform. IWP is an online information hub – promoting and facilitating cross-sector collaborations for solutions on the waste problems in Indonesia – and endorsed by the Republic of Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs as well as the Ministry of Environment & Forestry.
On a daily basis, the IWP connects stakeholders, share news and contribute to capacity building related to:
- Knowledge about sources of land-based and marine-based
- Awareness and education
- Research and data collection
- Impact of plastics on environment
- Microplastics
- Leadership and effective strategies
- Laws and policies
- Market-based instruments
Technical Advisor
Since 2016 APEX Environmental’s Director has been appointed as the IWP’s Technical Advisor on the “Impact of plastic waste on marine mammals and associated oceanic habitats.”
